Is there a video I can see?

Yes! See our video page.

What kinds of companies and concepts does Bowl Builder work best for?

Bowl Builder is the first of many Lab37 robotic production machines. It works best for bowls that have highly dispensable ingredients and works its absolute best in delivery intensive businesses.

Works well:

Veggies, rice, chopped protein

Works less well:

Fragile soft food (avocado), long stringy ingredients (angel hair pasta), super sticky foods (melted caramel)

Works well:

Delivery-only cloud kitchen or dark kitchen, brick & mortar with 100 extra square feet of space

Works less well:

Tightly packed brick and mortar with very little additional space for new equipment

Is The Hungry Cowgirl or The Hungry Group competing with CloudKitchens customers?

The Hungry Cowgirl is a test concept that allowed Lab37 to test and iterate on its equipment and ultimately prove that Bowl Builder could make bowls with ingredients that were commercially viable. Once we proved it out, we could then start discussions with applicable restaurants with concepts that fit within Bowl Builder’s capabilities. We look forward to selling Bowl Builders to interested restaurateurs and restaurant groups around the world!

Can I take Bowl Builder into my BRICK AND MORTARs? If not, why not?

It really depends on how much extra space you have. There are no exotic power or facility requirements with Bowl Builder. It needs water, electricity, and a drain. It takes around 100 square feet of floor space but the top of it is also a prep surface.

What’s next after bowls? Burgers? Wings? Burritos?

Too soon to tell. We are currently evaluating burgers, wings/fried foods, burritos with many more to come.

With The Hungry Cowgirl we are expecting a 50% reduction in labor. However this will vary depending on the prep complexity of the ingredients you use for your menu.

Is there a quality difference?

Yes. The Bowl Builder always weighs its portions, never forgets its hair net, and takes a photo of every bowl it builds to ensure it was made the way the customer wanted. Each customer can see a photo of the completed bowl as well as actual dispensed weights of every ingredient they requested.
